What We Provide
Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health. Chiropractic services are used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches.
Doctors of Chiropractic (DCs) – often referred to as chiropractors or chiropractic physicians – practice a hands-on, drug-free approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as to provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling.
DCs may assess patients through clinical examination, laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging and other diagnostic interventions to determine when chiropractic treatment is appropriate or when it is not appropriate. Chiropractors will readily refer patients to the appropriate health care provider when chiropractic care is not suitable for the patient’s condition, or the condition warrants co-management in conjunction with other health care providers.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is manual manipulation of soft body tissues (muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments) to enhance a person’s health and well-being. There are dozens of types of massage therapy methods (also called modalities). People seek massage therapy for a variety of reasons – to reduce stress and anxiety, relax muscles, rehabilitate injuries, reduce pain, and promote overall health and wellness.
Sports Rehabilitation
Sports rehabilitation is concerned with the prevention of injury, as well as the rehabilitation of the patient back to optimum levels of functional, occupational and sports specific fitness, regardless of age and ability. Sports rehabilitation begins with the treatment of the acute injury. It then follows the athlete through every step of the recovery process. During treatment your doctor will likely designing stretching and exercise plans for decreasing pain, restoring joint mobility, optimizing muscle length and healing injured tissues. It will then focus on optimizing workouts, preventing future injuries and obtaining pre-injury performance.
Nutritional Consultation
Disease prevention, weight loss, healthy eating and treating chronic disease are all issues that should be discussed with your doctor. We are able to provide specific recommendations on vitamins, nutritional supplements and healthy food choices to enhance our patient´s return to optimal health. By discussing what nutritional problems the patient is experiencing our Doctors can provide a structured nutritional program based on your individual needs.
